Lissa has practiced law in Orlando since 1990. She is a member of the Florida Bar, The Orange County Bar, The Legal Aid Society of Orange County (Certificate for Exceptional Service 2004-2009). She is admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida, as well as the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the Northern District of Florida. She represents individuals and businesses in matters involving bankruptcy law, business and commercial litigation including real estate, contracts, corporations, home owner associations, fraud, collections and consumer protection. She also represents business organizations in formation and planning.
She practices estate planning which includes preparing wills, living wills, power of attorney and trusts. In addition, she represents individuals in probate matters, such as representing the personal representative. As a member of the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, she has represented hundreds of individuals seeking the protection of the Bankruptcy Court.
Lissa is an active member of the Rotary Club of Winter Garden. She is a past president and member of the Board of Directors. She has been recognized with two Meritorious Service Awards, as well as a Paul Harris fellow.
She was born and raised in Winter Garden, Florida. She graduated from West Orange High School in 1982. She then went to Florida State University, obtaining a B.A. in History. Thereafter she attended Mercer University School of Law where she was awarded a Juris Doctorate. She passed both the Georgia Bar and the Florida Bar but decided to return to Orlando to practice law.
